  • 12 oz twisted pasta (gemelli or fusilli)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or dried herbs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the twisted pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; coat with grated Parmesan.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and butter. Sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter; sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and chicken broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in softened cream cheese until smooth, then whisk in mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan until thickened.
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce to coat well; let it simmer on low for about 12 minutes.
  7. Serve topped with garlic Parmesan chicken strips and garnish with parsley.
