  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple (diced)
  • 1 ripe pear (diced)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 jalapeño pepper (seeded and diced)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken strips in teriyaki sauce mixed with minced garlic, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread diced pineapple onto skewers and grill for about 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized.
  3. Grill marinated chicken strips for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. Prepare the salsa by mixing grilled pineapple, diced pear, red onion, jalapeño, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
